About Our Farm
Very few actually have the courage, optimism and the buoyancy to venture into a comparatively new and largely uncharted segment of farming, but we have gone ahead and done just that.
Welcome to Sanjivani Emu Farm, one of the leading Emu farms in India today.
Spread over a very large land area, our farm is located about 7 kms. from Bodeli near Baroda in Gujarat. We, presently, have a population of over 200 Emu birds, which will surely grow in the coming months. Our repertoire is vast and we offer several services, principal among them, include Emu eggs, Emu chicks and Emu birds with genetically sturdy DNA.
Backed by an adequately qualified personnel, trained labourers and state-of-the-art machnery and equipments, we have accomplished commendable expertise and mastery in Emu Farming and one day very soon, our aim is to make the Emu bird as common a name as the chicken in India. Significant development work is proposed in the near future.
About Emu Birds
The Emu bird is a native of Australia and is the world's second-largest living member of the ratite family of flightless birds. Others include the Ostrich from Africa, Rhea from South America, Cassowary from Australia and New Guinea and Kiwi, from New Zealand.
Emu birds were originally imported to the United States during the period 1930 to 1950 as an exotic addition to its zoo stock. In 1960, the Emu bird was designated Australia's national bird, and the Government of Australia banned the export of the birds.
As research and sharing of knowledge increases, the American Emu is emerging as the industry standard. The American breeder market is vigorous and is profitable for small and large emu farmers.
